BJØRN is a Helsinki based rock band founded by Bjørn Magnus Suomivuori in 2014.

Bjørn had his first breakthrough in 2015 competing successfully in the 4th Season of The Voice of Finland as a part of rock legend’s Michael Monroe’s team.

A songwriter since his teens, Bjørn’s first written song “I’m Sorry” was played on Radio X3M in Finland in 2001. Pursuing his dream in songwriting and performing Bjørn spent most of his twenties in Australia studying art, writing dozens of songs that have never been officially released until “Waterworks”, BJØRN’s first single was released in 2015.

“Paint My Windows” a song by Bjørn was featured on Australian YouTube in 2008, gathering some attention locally in Brisbane, Australia. Bjørn was also accepted into the Australian Institute of Music in 2007, but in the end chose not to attend.

In 2016 BJØRN released their first EP “Nothing But a Scar” featuring Michael Monroe on three tracks.

In the future Bjørn wants to be a songwriter for other artists as well as a performer. Focusing on guitar driven music, acoustic and electric, but also interested in electro.

Bjørn´s big influences are HIM, Lenny Kravitz, Motörhead, Hanoi Rocks, Thin Lizzy, The 69 Eyes, KISS, Iron Maiden and The Doors.
